On October 10, 2015, the goal of having a monument to honor the Mississippi soldiers at Shiloh National Park was accomplished. The Col. Rogers camp was appointed the lead camp to spearhead the drive to raise the $420,000 to erect the monument by the Mississippi Division of the Sons of Confederate Veterans.
